Registered Nurse

Our hospital in the JHB South is looking for a Patient Service Manager who will be responsible for the management of patient services function at the hospital.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • The patient services functions include admission activities, daily case management, clinical coding and billing
  • Ensure that the billing is valid, accurate and complete, and the billings of hospital accounts with minimal rejections and non-payments
  • Determine and implement the strategy for patient services
  • Ensure that the patient services policy and procedures are updated
  • Improve the level of skills and competencies
  • Provide line managers and exco members reports and feedback on status of patient services within the hospital
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with funders / administrators, service providers and other key role players
Applicants for this position must have:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree or equivalent NQF 7 Qualification will be advantageous
  • Nursing diploma or degree will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 10years experience in the private healthcare industry, specifically in the Patient Services / Clinical Environment
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and medical terminology, CPT/ ICD 10 coding
