Job Objective:

At Mednurse, consultants manage the recruitment process for both candidates and clients from start to finish. Key elements of the role include:

• Providing market knowledge and advice to employers
• Sourcing suitable candidates via networking, advertising and referrals
• Maintaining candidate networks
• Providing resume, interview and career advice to candidates
• Interviewing candidates on a general basis and for specific roles
• Managing the job offer process and negotiating salary packages
• Maintaining market and commercial awareness through research and networking
• Working as part of a team to maximise Mednurse’s commercial performance
• Developing and managing ongoing client relationships – both on the phone and face to face
• Organising and attending regular client entertainment events – including lunches, sporting events, seminars with guest speakers etc.

Recruitment Services:

• Providing an efficient and effective personnel service to meet the clients current and future business requirements.
• Taking down accurate job descriptions and matching up with potential candidates
• Writing creative and effective media advertisements
• Maintaining a steady flow of incoming candidates
• Writing candidate resumes for client perusal
• Co-ordinating candidate interviews
• Ensuring reference checking procedures are adhered to
• Maintaining effective communication with clients at all times
• Providing an after placement service guarantee service
• Ensuring invoices are paid

Sales/Marketing Activities:

• Establish and maintain sound business relationships with clients
• Be proactive in business development through targeting markets, identifying key prospects and employing successful winning tactics
• Develop new business through targeting markets, identifying key prospects and employing successful winning tactics
• Develop new business opportunities within existing customers by adding value – cross selling additional services
• Promote an awareness of the company and its services when opportunities arise
• Maintain current marketing strategies in place


• Develop a focused service and achievement orientated approach to be the best in the industry and recognized as so by client and applicants
• Lead by example; provide an efficient and effective recruitment service communicating a focus and vision
• Check on competitive activities and keep the company appraised of significant developments


• Establish and maintain sound relationships with other members of the team so that obstacles can be converted to challenges and opportunities to realities
• Establish and maintain sound relationships, maintaining service standards and enhancing the company image within the market place
• Maintain good applicant relationships, ensuring they have a full understanding of your business
• Represent the company in relevant industry groups

Qualfications and Experiences:

• Matric
• Tertiary Qualifications, advantageous
• Driver’s License / Own transport
• Recruitment experience is essential, preferably within a leadership capacity
• Proven Sales Report
